Tuition Assistance Program Overview
Funding for the Tuition Assistance Program
The Morningstar Learning Center (MLC) Tuition Assistance Program receives funding from grants and individual donors. Historically, MLC has received grants for this project from the Big Sky Resort Tax Area District. Morningstar organizes one annual fundraiser where 100% of the proceeds go to this program. The amount of funding determines the budget for the Tuition Assistance Program each year.
Application Process
All applications are reviewed by a third-party company who specializes in evaluating family financials. The application and instructions for the process are provided with enrollment paperwork. All applications are confidential.
Tuition Assistance Awards
Tuition Assistance amounts are awarded using a sliding scale that has been modified to accommodate our unique community needs. The sliding scale has been adjusted for the high cost of living, high rent, multiple children attending MLC, and number of enrollment days. The amount awarded may change based on amount of scholarship funding available.
